Summer in Texas is a beautiful thing. While it may be flaming hot most of the time, here are four places you can visit to help you take your mind off the heat.

BSR Cable Park. Want to spend a day relaxing in the water? You can’t do much better than the world’s longest lazy river found at BSR Cable Park in Waco.
Barton Springs Pool. If you like the idea of swimming in a lake or river, but not the idea of what’s hiding under the water, try the Barton Springs Pool in Austin. This is a man-made swimming pool that looks more like a lake. It is filled with natural spring water, some small fish, and even some water plants.
Burger’s Lake. When you visit this lake in Fort Worth, the whole family is guaranteed to have fun. It comes equipped with water slides, a trapeze swing to jump in the water, and so much more.
