Museum Store Shopping Event – Petroleum Museum Gift Shop (December 12th – 14th)
The Petroleum Museum will open during extended hours the third weekend in December, featuring more gift shop items that will make the perfect (and unique) gifts for friends and family.
Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker – Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center (December 28th)
Enjoy a peaceful night out on the ballet with this different take on The Nutcracker. The Moscow Ballet will blow you away with their grace and talent. Make it a night out with the family or a romantic date night.

There are tons of June events in Midland to consider. From local farmers’ markets to comedy performance, there is truly something for everyone in the area. According to Your Basin, there are a range of things to consider in June. In particular, this includes the local farmers’ market, held every Saturday through the month. This is held at the Museum of the Southwest, and you’ll find fresh bread, jam, veggies, and more. It’s held from 8:30am to 12:30pm, so be sure to stop by.
You can also check out Brian Regan at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center on June 10. This event is at 7:30pm, and tickets start at $69. Regan is known for both his clean humor and his singing, bringing a distinct quality to his comedy that you just can’t find elsewhere.
Finally, check out the Midland Hot Dog Run. There is a 5K and 1K on June 24 from 7:00am to 11:00am. This will be held at Midland College, starting in the parking lot of the Allison Fine Arts Building. There will be pet contests and prizes as well, making this run truly enjoyable for all ages.

The Kamiposi Art Gallery Show is happening all October, an event that’s great for a range of individuals. According to the Midland Chamber of Commerce, the event features a night of art, musicians, touring bands, and more. You can see them every Friday during the month from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Kamiposi Art Gallery.
You should also check out the 2016 Sibley Nature Festival on October 8 from 10:00am to 3:00pm. This year celebrates bees, butterflies, bats, and birds—each of which pollinates the local flora. You can see exhibits, attend lectures, make crafts, and more. Plus, with local food trucks all around, you can also get some great eats. There will be guided hikes in the area as well.
